This is the story behind the laws.
The laws that Johnny deciphered after years of witnessing what John endured. Johnny quietly took notes. Each time John ignored, Johnny noted. Each absurdity the system produced, Johnny logged – in the margins, where no one thought to look.
Years passed.
Then one day, Johnny the Footnote discovered his archives. He named them The Footnote, a collection of observation records and logged ironies that had, over time, formed into laws. The laws you know as The Natural Laws of Bullshit.
But that was not all.
Johnny saw that he had also kept a record of something else. Not the system’s absurdities. John’s endurance of them. Not because he had intended to. Johnny had noted John’s endurance because the system had not. The system keeps score only on outcomes. John understood that outcomes depend on endurance. The system did not.
So Johnny had logged that record too. You know it now as The Natural Laws of Endurance.

Johnny found that Bullshit was systemic. It was not chaos but a well managed self sustaining loop.
Thus, Johnny begins to decipher The Natural Laws of Bullshit.
Johnny discovered that the bullshit governs the system.
He doesn’t write The Natural Laws of Bullshit to fix the system. He writes to name them.
The laws didn’t arrive in revelation. They gathered, one absurdity at a time.
The system wasn’t broken. It was perfectly illogical & predictably absurd.
Before principle, strategy, or doctrine, there is environment.
Environment shapes conduct more than intent ever will.
And yet, John showed up.
Te system threw bullshit at him. He showed up. Everytime.
He endured. How did he do what he did?
He could laugh at the nonsense the system threw.
It did bother him. He was not left untouched by it.
But he did not lose himself to it.
Johnny, The Footnote is the quiet witness inside every dependable member of the team.
