The Law of Cloaked Intent – Virtue cloaks agendas.

Official Statement
From The Office of Values, Vision & Visibility

We’re proud to announce our renewed commitment to integrity, transparency, and ethical excellence.
This follows last week’s minor audit clarification.
As part of our diversity and inclusion drive, we’ve scheduled a photoshoot featuring our leadership team symbolically embracing progress.
Trust remains our cornerstone value — which is why all discussions about it will remain strictly confidential.
Together, we’re building a culture of accountability, one PowerPoint at a time.

John once volunteered for the Values Task Force.
The first meeting lasted ninety minutes.

The agenda included brand alignment, messaging frameworks, and rollout strategy.
Ethics appeared once, in the context of ethical storytelling.

The Boss said, “This will make a great story for our brand.
The Strategist called it a narrative investment.
The Diplomat suggested framing it as “values-led transformation.

John took notes. The task force scheduled six more meetings.
No values were defined.

Johnny underlined the record:

When virtue becomes marketing, the message eats the meaning.

Johnny’s Footnotes is a satirical instrument, infused with humour, for understanding organisational dysfunction, grounded in The Anatomy of Nonsense, also known as the Grand Unified Theory of Bullshit, finally documented so you no longer have to pretend it isn’t happening.

Disclaimer:  The Footnote is a satire — an observation, not an accusation. If it feels uncomfortably accurate, that’s just coincidence. You’re simply not important enough to be targeted.
